    The Nova rig package is the ideal choice for leisure sailing on relatively flat water. It has been designed with pure simplicity and durability in mind, and is ideally suited with our Nova range of boards. It allows you to learn and progress into the sport of windsurfing without worrying about your equipment and includes everything you need to outfit your board for windsurfing.



    The rig package includes the sail, the mastfoot, the mast, and the boom.
    The sail has been designed on a fixed mast and boom length, so when you get to the beach all you have to do is thread the mast up the sail, pull the downhaul to the base of the mast, the outhaul to the clew of the boom, and go sailing. Made from tough Dacron, this rig is well reinforced and super hard-wearing--great for intensive use. The mast is made with a durable composite construction, while the boom has a minimum number of moveable parts making it easy to use, lightweight, and durable. This Nova package is aimed at beginner to intermediate windsurfers who are looking to progress in the sport. For clubs, it offers a tough, versatile rig package for intensive use by learning windsurfers and funboarders. What's more, the rig is delivered in a very practical sail bag with additional pockets for storing the mast and the mast base, and the possibility to attach the boom so that it can be carried all in one.

    I returned this rig primarily because of the poor quality of the accompanying windsurfing board I purchased it for. But this rig is also of extremely poor quality. Seems more like a toy. Very flimsy plastic clasp on wishbone. U joint is not mechanical but entirely dependent of the flexibility of a plastic-like center rod. Worked ok the one time I used it, but I seriously doubt the durability of both components. Cheaply made from low end manufacturer.
    Amazon made return very easy and I paid only for UPS repacking.
